Hi there, and thank you for visiting my blog! My name is Renate. Who am I? I am an Oslo based creative writer, photography enthusiast, animal lover, language fanatic and generally intrigued by many different forms of the creative arts. I work a regular job and dedicate my spare time to my writings, travelling, studying French / Russian / German, jogging, and nurturing my relationships with friends and family
But what about the blog? What does the somewhat strange name of this blog even mean? It can be interpreted in several different ways, depending on how you read it. It is a combination of different Norwegian words, but mainly it translates as “beautiful journey“.
So is this a travel blog? Not per se. My intent in creating this blog is to share my own original short stories, combined with my photos from various places in Norway. Hopefully, this will take you on a visual journey through Norway, as well as help you gain some extra perspective on the journey I take my characters on.
I also believe that for us to understand beauty, we need to accept and know its opposites. My stories journey through many moments in everyday life, ranging from beautiful and happy to sometimes the ugly and sorrowful. All in order to take you, my readers, on what I hope to be a journey in words.
I’m not as of today a full time writer, but I still hope my stories will bring you joy, or perhaps some new perspective. If you’re curious to know more about me, feel free to message me through my social media outlets!
